混凝土枕木（轨枕）：用钢筋混凝土浇筑的枕木； 
钢枕：用金属材料锻铸的枕木；

防腐枕木由木头加工而成,95%以上的木枕都是由松木加工而成,松木又分为辐射松,花旗松,落叶松,樟子松等,没有做过处理的木枕我们称之为素枕,经过油浸防腐处理的枕木我们又叫防腐枕木,油浸枕木,注油枕木。
